Chocolate-Dipped, Cheesecake-Stuffed Strawberries

22 May

So my the school where my mom works had an event coming up which required our family bringing a dessert. Of course, in an effort to ever-sharpen my culinary skills, I volunteered to make one. I went with a dessert I found on my most current addiction–Pinterest. The recipe looked amazing and so, after a stop at the grocery store, I set out to make the chocolate-dipped, cheescake-stuffed strawberries (what a mouthful!) found here. I kept my iPhone handy, so many pictures accompany this culinary adventure.

Basics: Soft-Boiled Eggs

17 May

It’s another summer and I once again find myself back at home and with significantly more free time then normal. As I’m going to have a kitchen next year and significantly fewer meals a week, I’m planning on continuing my quest to cook more. And with that, I figure I might as well blog some more too!

One of my new favorite recipe sites is Tablespoon (props to my friend Caitlyn for leading me to it). So when I found this recipe for Pan Roasted Burgundy Chicken, which included both red wine and mushrooms, I figured I’d try it out.

Flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 Jul

This first recipe I found when I was majorly craving some chocolate chip cookies. Our house for some reason lacked flour and baking soda at the time, so that limited the span of cookies that I could make. However, I found this for flourless peanut butter cookies that required a whopping three ingredients! Of course, I had to try them.

An Introduction!

3 Jul

One of my goals for this summer is to improve my cooking skills, and add some new dishes to my repertoire. I recently have been taking pictures of what I’ve cooked, and that’s where the idea for this blog sort of came from. I’ve been trying to make at least one new thing a week, and I didn’t start taking pictures till a few weeks in–so I pre-apologize for the lack of pictures in the first two posts.
